Built in 1988, Heritage Oaks Hospital has long been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and northern California mental health system. Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited 72-bed acute psychiatric facility offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults and senior adults. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider and also has contracts with most commercial health insurance plans and Medicare HMOs.
Services:
- No-cost assessment and referral services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Acute psychiatric services to adolescents, adults and senior adults. Dual diagnosis services are available for those with concurrent substance abuse problems. Our goal is to provide assessment, diagnosis and rapid stabilization of acute psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems and a smooth transition to less intensive, appropriate levels of follow-up care and support.
- The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization. PHP offers all of the program intensity of acute inpatient care without having to stay overnight in the hospital.
- The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides services to clients in need of further stabilization who do not require the structure of a full day treatment program.
- Our comprehensive seniors program is designed to treat the complex psychiatric and substance abuse problems of older adults with primary psychiatric disorders including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia. Patients at least 62 years old who are medically stable, cognitively intact, able to participate in and benefit from treatment will gain insight and tools to help maintain and enhance their quality of life. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for seniors provides supportive follow-up care to continue to improve clinical status and maintain optimal functioning level on an outpatient basis, while preventing relapse or re-hospitalization.
